Destiny 2: Where To Spend Glimmer

Glimmer and Vendors in Destiny 2 have undergone a lot of modifications in the last year. With additional changes on the road, most notably for Witch Queen in February 2022, the best way to get Glimmer in Destiny 2 is a subject that is likely to evolve over time.

Where To Spend Glimmer

Glimmer gets a bonus for practically anything she does. Glimmer can be obtained via defeating adversaries, performing planet patrols, opening chests, completing strikes, quests, and bounties, among other activities. Certain tweaks that assist players to achieve glimmer faster can also be unlocked. Glimmer is a resource that leaks into many aspects of the D2 universe, so it may not seem like a big deal at first, but it can be rather useful, especially for players looking to improve their strength.

Bounties For XP And Powerful Gear Challenges

This is one of the finest methods to earn XP and progress through the Seasonal Pass in Destiny 2. Bounties are also the primary way of earning XP and leveling the Seasonal Artifact. The aim here is to obtain a Power bonus for one’s light level after reaching the light level cap. For Pinnacle or Powerful Gear drops, most Vendors also demand players to complete a certain amount of bounties per week, which is necessary for players under the power level cap to level up.

The most common currency used to purchase these bounties is glimmer. Whether it’s from Banshee-44, the Drifter, Zavala, Lord Shaxx, or even outside the tower vendors like Variks and Shaw Han, all of these bounties come with a Glimmer cost that may quickly rack up for XP-hungry Guardians.

Xur And The Exotic Archives

  • Every Friday, a mystery Vendor linked to the Nine appears in Destiny 2’s realm and sells Exotic and Legendary items. Because many of his weapons and armor have excellent rolls, players should set aside some Glimmer and Legendary Shards to purchase his wares. Exotics do not cost Glimmer, but Legendary weapons and armor do.
  • Players can spend an Exotic Cipher at the Exotic Archives, Monument to Lost Lights, in the Tower after completing Xur’s Exotic Cipher task. Exotic weapons and DLCs from prior seasons can be purchased here, and many of them have incredibly high Glimmer pricing. Furthermore, these Exotics demand planetary resources, Ascendant Shards, and possibly Conquest Spoils from raids.

Upgrade Items

  • Destiny 2 is not like a standard MMO in which players save up their wealth to buy powerful potions and fantastic weaponry. Instead, vendors sell unique goods like Enhancement Prisms, Enhance Modules, and Ascendant Shards that you may use to help upgrade equipment.
  • Players can also acquire Armor parts to make their Guardian stronger. As well as lower-level armor to disassemble in order to obtain any missing basic elements.
  • It’s worth noting that mods from Banshee-44 and Ada-1 in The Tower don’t cost Glimmer but do require Mod Components.

Masterworking Armor & Weapons

  • Glimmer is also necessary for upgrading armor and weaponry (as well as Ghost shells), as well as mastering them. Masterworked weapons and armor acquire strong stat bonuses that can make a huge difference when constructing a Destiny 2 character. This is one of the main aims of most players.
  • Thankfully, since Destiny 2’s 30th Anniversary update, switching armor mods no longer costs Glimmer. Swapping weapon mods and Ghost mods, on the other hand, still costs Glimmer.
