Top 5 Best One-Handed Sword For Different Playstyles
None of these swords will be the perfect choice for all scenarios because each has its unique function. However, in this article, we will highlight the most important characteristics of each blade so that you may select the one that best suits your setup. Enjoy!
Rotten Crystal Sword
The Scarlet Rot passive buildup with each blow, as well as the Spinning Slash weapon talent, make the Rotten Crystal Sword a superb choice for people who like straight swords over curved. Straight swords have traditionally had good swing patterns and can do a lot of damage.
The Rotten Crystal Sword also gains bonus magic damage, making it a viable option for a variety of builds. The sword is kept in a chest guarded by three Crystalians in Elphael, Brace of the Haligtree.
Sword Of Night And Flame
Most players will be familiar with this weapon, as it has been highlighted as one of the strongest one-handed weapons in Elden Ring due to its dual weapon arts and unique damage.
The first weapon art is a reduced version of the Comet Azur sorcery, with a lower FP cost, while the second is a sweeping flame arc in front of the caster. Intelligence and Faith stats must be at least 24 to wield the Sword of Night and Flame, making it more suitable for magic users.
This jab sword is a great option for a range of styles. The Antspur Rapier’s most appealing feature is the crimson rot it has. As a passive advantage, it may be highly valuable in both PVP and PVE.
You can easily defeat many bosses if you combine it with a powerful shield. The weapon is dropped by Maleigh Marais, Shaded Castle Castellan west of The Shaded Castle.
Rivers Of Blood
Rivers of Blood was a fine weapon before which scaled with Arcane, this sword was unfortunately broken and did not work properly. However, post-patch, it has become a force to be reckoned with. Arcane scaling has been adjusted, and the weapon’s linkages to bleed damage make it much more lethal than before.
Rivers of Blood has a 66 passive bleed buildup and a weapon art, Corpse Piler. This art stacks even more on top and gives the weapon’s swing set a minor boost in attack range. You must beat Bloody Finger Okina in the Mountaintops of the Giants region’s Church of Repose to obtain this weapon. However, this must be done before the Fire Giant boss is killed. The invader will not attack if the Giant is defeated first.
Hand of Malenia
Though wielding the Hand of Malenia will take a lot of effort and skill, it will be well worth it for most players. It features a passive 50 bleed buildup and is easily the best weapon art in Elden Ring. It is the second largest katana in the game after the Nagakiba.
After the first wind-up, the skill Waterfowl Dance is extremely aggressive and impossible to interrupt. In both PVP and PVE, it allows the user to unleash a flurry of slashes in a three-tiered combo that completely melts most health bars. It can only be obtained at Roundtable Hold by using Malenia’s boss’s remembrance with Enia.
