Elden Ring: Sacrificial Axe – All Details

Sacrificial Axe is a weapon in Elden Ring that scales largely with Strength and Dexterity. It’s a good weapon for feisty players that want to go head to head with their opponents. With the Skill, Wild Strikes, this weapon allows you to swing relentlessly.

Hatchet used in ancient sacrificial rite. A Deathbird is depicted as a malevolent deity.
The power of the rite yet lingers. A small amount of FP is restored upon slaying a foe. – Sacrificial Axe in-game description

In Elden Ring, the Sacrificial Axe is a short-range, lightweight weapon with a passive bonus that recovers 4 FP when eliminating a foe. This axe is useful because it does not require a kill to restore FP. Simply hitting an enemy once would still result in FP restoration. It is handy weaponry that you may use just for its FP-Stealing-ability.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The FP regeneration of the Sacrificial Axe stacks with that of other items, such as the Ancestral Spirit’s Horn Talisman. Tarnished can replenish up to 7 FP each kill with both equipped.

NOTE!!! Deathbirds only come out at night.

  •  You must defeat Deathbird in the Weeping Peninsula to obtain the Sacrificial Axe. Elden Ring Field Boss spawns in a small area off the main road. Here’s how to find the Deathbird.
  • Travel south from the Bridge of Sacrifice to the Site of Grace on the Castle Morne Rampart. Turn right after passing through the crumbling wall on your way to the Map Fragment and up the rocky slope to find a massive lump of rubble at the outside walls.

The Field Boss will spawn down below in an area of grasses.

  • Enemies spawn at a low level in the Weeping Peninsula. As a result, you will encounter this Deathbird after arriving in Liurnia or in the Altus Plateau you will most likely be able to dispatch this Field Boss easily. You may use the cheese method by standing atop the massive block of rubble nearby and sniping the boss with arrows or Spells until it dies.
