Elden Ring’s Coil Shield is a Small Shield that scales largely with Strength. Small shields are often light and provide the least amount of protection from strikes. They’re frequently wielded by players who prefer to parry instead of block.
Its reduced weight also makes it appropriate for characters who are swift and agile but have limited equipment weight capacity. In this article, we will show you where to grab this awesome shield that will definitely make opponents think twice before they attack the snake-shield wielder. LOL. 🙂
An extremely odd shield adorned with a coiled bronze snake.
An excellent choice for attention-seekers.
This Shield provides an effective defense against poison – after all, how does one poison a poisonous snake?
This is a light shield that may unleash a snakehead to bite opponents in front of it. You can use the Coil Shield to strike back with a snake bite from your shield.
The Coil Shield is a tiny shield that blocks 52 percent of physical damage and has good resistance to poison, magic, light, and holy energy.
The Weapon Skill “Viper Bite” sends out a snake to bite enemies from a great distance, causing poison accumulation when it hits, and only costs 8FP to use.
Viper Bite Skill
Coil Shield Wielders are the only ones that can use Viper Bite.
The Shield is designed like a snake, and by using this skill, you can unleash a snake that attacks with a bite attack from a long distance before rapidly returning to its original shield form.
Begin at Mt Gelmir’s Ninth Campsite; you may have already come over to this area.
If you haven’t found it yet, enter the Mt Gelmir zone of the Altus Plateau via the bridge.
Continue on the road until you reach a ladder on the left that leads to the cliffs.
Continue further and ahead through the cliffs until you reach a rope bridge with the Campsite on the far side, beside a Spiritspring and a ladder. The Site of Grace is fairly close to the Coil Shield.
You’ll later find a hole if you head northeast from Mt Gelmir’s Ninth Campsite and follow the mountain’s curve.
When entering Volcano Cave, keep an eye out for demi-humans, who usually come in groups of 5.
After dispatching the first group, proceed via the tunnel in the chamber’s northwestern side to a tiny room, and then down the hill to the north to a room filled with boxes.
Before searching the room, eliminate all opponents.
The Coil Shield can be found on one of the two corpses to the southeast of this room.
