Who is Aloy in Genshin Impact?
Aloy is a Cryo bow user first introduced in Genshin Impact after Version 2.2 released. Her playstyle is similar to Yoimiya, another 5-star bow user who lives in Inazuma. However, their difference is Aloy is given as an in-game reward to all Travelers while Yoimiya can only be obtained through her limited-time banner.
As mentioned above, Aloy is free for all Travelers. To get her character card in the in-game mail of Genshin Impact, Travelers must at least be Adventure Rank 20. Then, Aloy will be available for claiming in the in-game mail.
Although Aloy is free for all Travelers across all platforms, her power can be fully maximized if you are playing on a PlayStation console. Aside from getting Aloy for free, Travelers on the PlayStation are also rewarded with her signature weapon: The Predator. But its effects are only activated if you are playing on a PlayStation platform.

Best Aloy build
Depending on which platform you’re playing on, Aloy can either be a DPS or a sub-DPS character on your team. However, it’s best to use her as a sub-DPS because of her AoE Elemental Burst which can inflict Freeze on enemies.
Aloy sub-DPS build
Using Aloy as a sub-DPS or Support role on your team is recommended if you want her in your party. This is because in short bursts, Aloy can already deal high amounts of DMG on enemies.
Recommended weapons for Aloy sub-DPS build
Even though Aloy has a signature weapon called The Predator, this isn’t suitable for her sub-DPS role. If you have the following bows in your inventory, you’re best off equipping Aloy with any of the following:
- Thundering Pulse (5-star)
- Skyward Harp (5-star)
- Sacrificial Bow (4-star)
- The Viridescent Hunt (4-star)
- Favonius Warbow (4-star)
- The Stringless (4-star)
- Predator (4-star, effects are only active on PS platforms)
But the most suitable bow she can use from that list is the Sacrificial Bow if you don’t have the 5-star bows listed. This is because it boosts Aloy’s DMG output. Moreover, the Sacrificial Bow gives Aloy a 40% chance of resetting the CD of her Elemental Skill. And as we mentioned before, this can help Aloy deal a high amount of DMG in short bursts of her Skill.

Recommended artifacts
The best artifacts you can equip on Aloy are a 2-pc. Blizzard Strayer and 2-pc. Gladiator’s Finale. When equipped with a 2-pc. Blizzard Strayer, Aloy’s Cryo DMG is increased by 15%. Furthermore, a 2-pc. Gladiator’s Finale boosts Aloy’s DMG stats by 18%. Equipping her with both of these artifact sets allows Aloy to produce a high DMG output.

Talent Priority
For Aloy’s Talents, we recommend prioritizing her Elemental Burst, Prophecies of Dawn, first before leveling up her other Talents. But if she is going to be a Support/sub-DPS on your team, then prioritize her Elemental Skill after her Burst.
