How To Summon Friends in Elden Ring

Elden Ring - Coop Boss

Given that Elden Ring is a massive game, it’s only fitting that it features a co-op mode. If you ever have trouble clearing a dungeon or defeating a world boss, you can ask a friend to aid you on your journey. In this guide, we’ll be teaching you how to summon friends in Elden Ring.

If you haven’t checked it out, Elden Ring features two modes of multiplayer

Summoning your friends to join you in Elden Ring is easy and you can do it practically anywhere in The Lands Between. But you should keep in mind that summoning your friends is divided into two modes.

For the first mode, you can summon friends to explore The Lands Between and take down enemies roaming about. On the other hand, the second mode lets you summon your friends so you can team up and take down a dungeon boss. Moreover, summoned players in dungeon fights are sent back to their own worlds after you defeat the dungeon boss.

Before you start playing with your friends in the online multiplayer feature, it’s important that you have the following items:

  • Finger Severer: You can use this to kick players out from your world. Additionally, you can use this to return to your world if you joined another player’s world.
  • Furlcalling Finger Remedy: This item reveals “cooperative and competitive multiplayer signs”. If a summoning sign is gold, it means it’s for co-op. And if a summoning sign is red, it means it’s from hostile or invading players.
  • Small Golden Effigy: Use this to send your summon sign to summoning pools so other players can summon you to their world.
  • Tarnished’s Furled Finger: Lets you create a summon sign for a co-op session. If you use this, other players can summon you into their own worlds.

Once you have all these items, you can now summon your friends or join another player’s world. By using the Tarnished’s Furled Finger, you place your sign down where you think other players might see it. On the other hand, using the Furlcalling Finger Remedy lets you see summon signs placed down by other players in the area.

How do I summon my friends into my Elden Ring game?

To summon players into your Elden Ring game, proceed to the summoning pool found within dungeons and bosses in the world. Look for the Martyr Effigies and once you see them, use the Small Golden Effigy to send your summon sign into the pool.

But if you want to ensure that only your friends will get summoned into your world, use Multiplayer Passwords. To access this feature, go to the Multiplayer settings in the menu. Then, you bring up the Multiplayer Passwords settings sub-menu by pressing Triangle/Y button.

We hope this guide helped you in summoning your friends and joining other worlds.
