These four-legged creatures are as clever as they come. You may stumble into one of these animals while roaming. All it takes is a little determination and some creative strategy to make friends with the Minecraft fox.
If you come too close to a fox, it will flee. If you want to tame one for yourself and turn it into an ally, there are a few things you may do. This awesome pet may assist you in fending off hordes and can chase and hunt small animals. They can also hop over fences and other things due to their superb jumping ability.

We’ll show you how to tame foxes, detailing where to look for them and what you’ll need in this article.
LOCATION
Foxes work in packs and have varying appearances based on where you locate them. They can, however, be found in Grove Biomes, Old Growth Pine Taiga, Old Growth Spruce Taiga, Snowy Taiga & Taiga.
HOW TO TAME
After locating these foxes, you may now start to sort of ‘tame’ them.
STEP #1: Locate and Trap.
- Firstly, what you have to do is to locate these foxes in one of the locations above.

- Take note that foxes can hop across fences so make sure your blocks are high enough that they cannot escape.
- You can also dig. It really depends on which you think is easier for you so feel free to be creative.

STEP #2: Feed and Breed
- The next step after you caught two (2) Foxes is to feed them with sweet berries or glow berries.

STEP #3: Craft a Lead
- Lead is needed for the newly tamed fox, so craft one first.
