How to earn XP for level requirements

To level up in Pokémon GO, you will need to earn XP (experience points). You can earn XP through the following tasks and activities:

  • Catching Pokémon is the go-to method and doesn’t need any introduction to Pokémon GO players. Each Pokémon you catch or hatch from an egg earns you XP based on the rarity of the Pokémon.
  • Evolving Pokémon and participating in raids and gym battles earns you a large amount of XP based on your performance and difficulty.
  • Other methods include completing daily and weekly research tasks, visiting PokeStops, or even sending Pokémon to Professor Willow.
