Pokemon Go’s Scizor is weak to Fire-type moves. It is, however, resistant to Grass, Poison, Dragon, Bug, Ice, Fairy, Normal, Psychic, and Steel-type moves. Scizor’s best moveset is  Fury Cutter and Iron Head with a maximum CP of 3,001. Here are Scizor’s weaknesses, counters, and how you can beat it.

  • Type– Bug / Steel
  • Weakness – Fire

Scizor Counters

  • Reshiram
  • Chandelure
  • Darmanitan
  • Volcarona
  • Blaziken
  • Moltres
  • Flareon

How To Beat

  • Scizor is strong against many Pokemon types. Avoid these Pokemons if you’re fighting a Scizor: Lunastone, Solrock, Jynx, and Smoochum.
  • Scizor’s body is made of steel and has a steel-like hardness. It isn’t easily fazed by common types of attacks. This Pokémon regulates its body temperature by flapping its wings.

  • Scizor has good ATK and DEF, but its offensive typing holds it back from true greatness, relegating it to the Psychic or Fairy-killing niche.
  • Scizor’s bulk and Steel-type provide numerous defensive advantages, but Fire is a common move type on many raid bosses, exploiting its obvious double weakness.
  • Overall, Scizor is a poor investment, though keeping one on hand might be a good idea given the impending arrival of Mega Scizor.

How To Get

  • Scyther (Scizor unevolved form) spawn rates are higher near countryside, farmland, fields, forests, gardens, large parks, and other grassy areas, according to Pokémon GO players.

Metal Coat

  • Scyther is usually evolved into Scizor using a Metal Coat. The Metal Coat is also one of the more rare evolutionary items in Pokémon Go, so finding another one may take some time.
  • Metal Coats, like other consumables in the game, can be obtained by spinning PokéStops. On an unlucky day, it may take up to 500 spins to find your first Metal Coat due to the item’s low drop rate of around one percent.
  • The high spin number is due to the Metal Coat’s drop rate being similar to that of other evolutionary items. To get a Metal Coat, you’ll need to get lucky twice: once to get an evolutionary item from a PokéStop and again to get a Metal Coat from a PokéStop.
