Who is Pokemon Frigibax?
Frigibax is recently introduced in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, making it part of the Generation 9 Pokemon. Since this creature happens to be one of the additions to the Pokedex, the details we may have here about it remain incomplete.
- Frigibax is a Dragon- and Ice-type Pokemon. We can consider it as cute in size but it is actually a pseudo-legendary Pokemon, and by that we mean supposedly you may find Frigibax in the latter part of the game. BUT, thanks to the open-world feature of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, you can explore the area where it inhabits.
The evolution
Frigibax may be cute to look at, but its evolution forms would probably make you think twice. This Pokemon evolves into two forms namely: Arctibax and Baxcalibur.
- To evolve Frigibax to Arctibax, it needs to reach Level 35. While for Arctibax to reach the final evolution form, Baxcalibur, it requires to be in Level 54. Now, let’s catch this Frigibax!
Where to find Frigibax?
According to Pokedex, Frigibax lives in caves and is very rarely seen as well. You may want to head to the areas with deep snow to find your luck there. These are the possible places you can locate Frigibax in the map of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet:

- Glaseado Mountain
- Mass Outbreaks
- North Province (check out the snowy area here!)
- Tera Raid
- No worries, you can still encounter this Pokemon in the open, but it wouldn’t hurt to go straight to where they inhabit, right? Anyway, the Frigibax possible levels when you catch them would be in the range of 25 to 35. At rare times (and if you’re lucky enough), you may find its second form AKA Arctibax!
How to get
Even when you’re near the Glaseado Mountains where most of it lives, it would probably be a difficult time for you to find it. Search the caves and snowy areas if you’re desperate to add this one to your team.
- So if you want added chances on your favor, you may utilize an available Meal Powers. If you have any of the Meal Powers that would deem be effective to catch this Ice- and Dragon-type Pokemon, then use it.
- Additionally, the Picnic Table Method would be nice too if you’re in the spawn range of Frigibax. In case this would be your first time hearing about it, this method resets the Pokemon that spawns at its range.
