Smeargle is a Pokemon from the Jhoto province in Pokemon Go. Smeargle was one of the most entertaining Pokemon in the tv show, and Smeargle in Pokemon Go lives up to the hype. Shiny Smeargle is extremely difficult to find in Pokemon Go, but spawns have recently doubled.
How to Catch
- Trainers will be able to approach and collect a Shiny Smeargle for the first time as part of the New Pokémon Snap quest in Pokémon Go.
- Smeargle can only be found in the Go Snapshot mode, which is activated through the camera in-game. When you take a snapshot of a Pokémon, Smeargle might show up in the corner!
- When you come back to the overworld graph, a Smeargle with the same moveset as the Pokémon you photographed will emerge for you to click on and capture.
- Smeargle will have a higher possibility of making appearances in snapshots during this occasion, but only a restricted number of moments per day.
Pokemon Snap Event
Shiny Smeargle will be obtainable only throughout specific event periods, similar to Shiny Meltan. Shiny Smeargle might no longer be possible to confront once the New Pokémon Snap event has ended, but regular Smeargle may still show up when taking photographs.

- Event Date: 29th of April (10:00 AM) – 2nd of May (8:00 PM) local time.
- During the New Pokémon Snap event, trainers will have the opportunity to meet and capture a Shiny Smeargle in Pokémon Go.
Evolution
- Shiny Smeargle or normal Smeargle does not have an evolution yet as of writing.
