The new version of Windows, the all-new Windows 11, is expected to be released on the 5th of October following months of testing. However, if you want to experience the new features without waiting till the release date, you can download the Release Preview version on Windows 10 now using the Windows Insider Program.

This preview version is the final version of Windows 11, an ISO 22000.194 build that can be cleanly installed by downloading it from the Windows Insider website.

Before installing, users must remember that modifying the current Windows setup on their PC can negatively impact the user data. As a precaution, it is recommended that you back up all data before continuing to install the new setup.

  • The first step is to make sure that your PC is compatible with Windows 11. This can be done through the Microsoft PC Health App.
  • Once it is ensured that the PC is compatible, register as a Windows Insider at the Microsoft site.
  • After this, go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Insider Program
  • Select Get Started and link your Windows Insider account
  • When it is prompted to select Insider settings, select Release Preview ring
  • After confirming by agreeing to the terms and conditions, restart your PC
  • Once your PC has started up again, open Settings > Update & Security. Here you will see a new banner that shows the option of a Windows 11 update.
  • Click download and install. Follow all the steps the installation takes you through

When this is done, you will be on the final version of Windows 11. To un-enroll, your PC from receiving preview updates for Windows 11, go to Settings > Windows Update. Select the “Stop getting preview builds” option. This will make sure that your PC stays on the final version of Windows 11.
