At the Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2023 event on Sunday, Bandai Namco announced that this new Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4 is in development. It has been more than 15 years since the last mainline entry in the series.

Bandai Namco surprised Dragon Ball fans by announcing Budokai Tenkaichi 4 during the Dragon Ball FighterZ World Championship Tournament on March 5, 2023.
