Genshin Impact 3.0: Best Collei Sub-DPS/Support Build + Team Comp

Genshin Impact 3.0 Best Collei Sub-DPS Support Build + Team Comp - Cover Picture

Genshin Impact 3.0 marks the first time playable Dendro characters like Tighnari and Collei are available to Travelers. Since we already gave you the best DPS build for Tighnari, you’ll also need a Dendro Sub-DPS or Support character like her. Having Collei in your party lets you maximize your team comps if she has the right build.

In this guide, we’ll give you the best Collei build you can use if you need a new Support unit. We’ll also include the best artifacts, weapons (both premium and F2P friendly), and team comps that go well with Collei.

The best build for Collei in Genshin Impact 3.0

Aside from Tighnari, Collei is a playable Dendro character introduced in Genshin Impact 3.0. She made her first appearance in the Genshin Impact manga and since then, fans have been looking forward to getting her in the game.

Collei’s kit allows her teammates to deal a high amount of DMG the moment the Dendro unit leaves the field. This means she can be either your team’s Support or Sub-DPS unit. If you already have a Sub-DPS unit, you’ll have no difficulty in clearing out mobs once Collei joins your team.

Collei Sub-DPS and Support Build

For Travelers wanting to try out a new team comp with a Dendro Sub-DPS character, you can use this Collei build. Since her Base ATK stat is low, you’ll depend more on her Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst for this one.

Make sure you’ll have a reliable DPS like Tighnari to switch her with after she’s done casting her abilities.

Recommended Weapon

The best weapon to use for a Collei Sub-DPS unit is either the Polar Star or the Elegy for the End.

  • The Polar Star gives its wielder a significant DMG increase especially if the character is dependent on their Elemental Skill or Burst.
  • As for the Elegy for the End, this works with Collei since this Bow also assists in the DMG output of an Elemental Skill or Burst.

Since both of these weapons are five stars, an alternative for F2P players is the Favonius Warbow. One of the ways to get this Bow is by finishing the Archon Quest, A Long Shot. Other than that, you need to pull for this Bow.

  • This is a good weapon for Collei especially if you don’t have a Battery character on your team. Using the Favonius Warbow regenerates Energy for its wielder depending on a successful CRIT hit.

Recommended Team Comp for Collei

Collei is a great Sub-DPS unit that excels at inflicting off-field DMG to enemy mobs. You’ll want to team her up with characters who can generate a substantial amount of DMG using the Dendro element.

An element that works well with Dendro is Electro. Characters with this element who can synergize well with Collei are Kuki Shinobu and Fischl. Your team’s Main DPS unit should be someone like Tartaglia or Tighnari.

Here are some of our recommended team comps for Collei:

Quicken and Spread Reactions

By using this team comp, you’re able to trigger Quicken reactions when facing off against enemy mobs. The character spending the most time on the field will be Tighnari while the other three – Collei, Fischl, and Shinobu – focus on giving off-field DMG and support to the Main DPS.

The off-field support coming from the three characters will help in making sure that Quicken is active on all enemies. All you have to do is use Tighnari against them and deal lots of DMG using Spread.

CHARACTER NAME ROLE ELEMENT
Tighnari Main DPS Dendro
Collei Sub-DPS
Fischl Electro
Kuki Shinobu Support

Hyperbloom Reaction

Since you have a Hydro character for your Main DPS, you can create Dendro Cores and trigger Hyperbloom by using Thoma’s Elemental Burst. Take note that Thoma’s build for this one needs to focus on his ER and EM so he can be effective.

CHARACTER NAME ROLE ELEMENT
Tartaglia/Childe Main DPS Hydro
Collei Sub-DPS Dendro
Dendro Traveler
Thoma Support Pyro

F2P Team

As for the F2P-friendly team, you’ll have Lisa as your Main DPS unit. We mentioned earlier that one of the best Elements to react with Dendro is Electro, so you need to build Lisa properly for this team comp.

Fischl’s role in this team comp is to provide energy for her teammates while also dealing with off-field DMG with her Elemental Skill. Barbara serves as both the Support and Healer of your team since she can trigger Dendro reactions with her Hydro attacks.

Lisa Main DPS Electro
Fischl Sub-DPS
Collei Dendro
Barbara Support Hydro

Recommended Artifact Set

Deepwood Memories

Like Tighnari, this new artifact set in Genshin Impact is perfect for Collei since it’s made for Dendro characters. You can also equip this on the Dendro character if you want to improve their stats.

  • If you have a two-piece set equipped, your Dendro DMG increases by 15%.
  • A four-piece set equipped with your character reduces your enemies’ resistance to Dendro.
    • This can only be triggered after using your character’s Elemental Skill or Burst.

Getting artifacts from this set requires you to unlock the new Domain in Sumeru first. You can find it here:

Other artifacts you can use with Collei are the Emblem of Severed Fate or Noblesse Oblige.

  • The set for Emblem of Severed Fate gives whoever has it equipped a +20% Energy Recharge (2-pc.) and an increased 25% Elemental Burst DMG (4-pc.) which scales on your character’s ER rate
  • As for the Noblesse Oblige set, your character’s Elemental Burst DMG increases by +20% (2-pc.) while giving a boost to all party members’ ATK by 20% if you cast an Elemental Burst (4-pc.)
Artifact stats
  • Energy Recharge
  • Dendro DMG Bonus
  • CRIT Rate
  • CRIT DMG
  • ATK%
  • Elemental Mastery

Talent Priority for Collei

You need to prioritize Collei’s Elemental Burst first once you start leveling up her Talents. Since you’re building her to be your team’s Sub-DPS unit, she won’t be on the field that much and if she is, you’ll be busy casting her Elemental Burst and Elemental Skill.

After leveling up the Talent for her Elemental Burst, you start focusing on her Elemental Skill next. Because the base stat of her ATK is not that impressive, you should make her Normal Attack Talent the last one on your priority list.

We hope this guide helped you in properly building Collei. Let us know if you have other recommendations to maximize the potential of her character.
