2022 looks to be another great year for tabletop gaming with many board game anticipated releases. The year will look to have new IPs, expansions, and different iterations of beloved board games. Trying to keep track of them all can indeed be a challenging process. There are a few standouts that many in the community are looking to buy. Here are the releases you should be looking out for this year:

Marvel Zombies: A Zombicide Game

Zombicide has always been a fan favorite among board gamers. You can back the game out now on Kickstarter, where you can get the core game where you play as zombie Marvel heroes. There’s also an expansion where you play as the X-Men trying to fight against the Zombie horde.

Dune: Imperium – Rise of Ix

The release of Dune: Imperium last year brought in a lot of praise for its strategic elements and homage to the books. The Rise of Ix expansion will bring three new Great Houses to the fray. It will also introduce new gameplay elements to add to the political machinations over the spice planet.

Total War: Rome – The Board Game

The Total War franchise is one of the latest video games to try tabletop gaming. The game hopes to capture the essence of its counterpart, with players choosing from different factions like Rome and Greece. The developers also promise to release expansions to add more options that emulate the video game.
