Following the departure of Rick and Morty co-creator, director, animator, and voice actor Justin Roiland, everyone is now left wondering who will be replacing him as the new voice of Rick Sanchez and Morty Smith. Below are all the possible actors (or actress) who may get the chance to become Rick and Morty.
Danny DeVito as Rick Sanchez and Charlie Day as Morty Smith
Some fans of Rick and Morty are already petitioning for the whimsical duo of Danny DeVito and Charlie Day to replace Justin Roiland. They have even decided it on behalf of Adult Swim!
Danny and Charlie have been gracing television with their fantastic team-up in the hit and long-running TV series It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia (2005 to present). The two have the best chemistry in television history. Both of them have starred in various award-winning movies and since most of their gigs are comedy projects, it’s really not difficult to see them become the new voice of the animated show. However, this means that Rick and Morty must move forward from the show’s former voices. Which means, there is going to be a drastic change. However, fans would love to hear both DeVito and Day to become the new actors behind the grandfather and grandson duo.

Maya Rudolph (Morty Smith)
Everything seems to be going well for the comedian and actress, Maya Rudolph.
First, Maya gets hired as a replacement for the spokescandies for M&M. Now, she gets a nod from fans to become the voice actor of Morty Smith. How cool is that? Although she is a popular comedian, she has also done several voice acting projects like Aunt Cass (Baymax!), Connie the Hormone Monstress (Human Resources), Daniela Paguro (Luca), Linda Mitchell (The Mitchells v.s. the Machines), and Nanny (The Willoughbys). Similar to Danny DeVito and Charlie Day, hiring Maya Rudolph would mean a huge change in Rick and Morty Landscape. Although, that wouldn’t be so bad, would it?

Jeff Ross (Rick Sanchez)
The first time you hear Rick’s voice, you probably would have thought Jeff Ross was the man behind the iconic character.
Famous as a stand-up comedian and actor, Ross is best known for his insults in “Roastmaster General”. Honestly, his voice sounds eerily similar to Justin Roiland’s version of Rick Sanchez. Ross could replace Roiland, and no one would probably identify the difference! Despite that, casting Jeff Ross is a long shot.

Chris Pratt and Tom Holland
Two of the biggest stars of today, MCU’s very own Chris Pratt (Guardians of the Galaxy) and Tom Holland (Spider-Man) are two of the actors nominated by some fans to voice the titular characters.
Chris Pratt, as we all know, will be the voice of Mario in The Super Mario Bros. movie slated to release this April. On the other hand, Tom Holland has had a few voice acting gigs in the past like Spies in Disguise (2019), Dolittle (2020), and Onward (2020). There’s nothing much here but we think they could offer something for the fans. But, it’s highly unlikey they’ll get hired as these two have ongoing and future projects with MCU.
Finally, arguably the best choice we have is not an actor or a professional voice actor, but a TikToker and an impressionist, Sean Kelly (seankellysays). Almost everybody is already rooting for Sean to step into the shoes of Rick and Morty. Truthfully, he can completely copy the original voices. If you haven’t heard his Rick and Morty (and other characters like Mr. Meeseeks) impressions yet, you have to get into his TikTok account.
