In exciting news for fans of the popular manga series Horimiya. Square Enix’s Monthly G Fantasy magazine has announced that a new bonus volume of Horimiya manga will be released. The 17th compiled book volume, titled A Piece of Memories, will be available on July 18. This special volume will feature four new chapters, including one by the original creator HERO. 

The new chapters will be serialized for three months in Monthly G Fantasy, starting from the magazine’s August issue. Additionally, the bonus volume will include the Horimiya Memorial Book, which comes with a special art book.

A closer look at the Horimiya Manga Series and its adaptations

For those unfamiliar with the series, Horimiya originated as a Japanese web manga titled Hori-san to Miyamura-kun. It is created by Hiroki Adachi under the pseudonym Hero. The manga was eventually adapted and continued by Daisuke Hagiwara under the title Horimiya. 

  • It enjoyed a successful run in Monthly G Fantasy from October 2011 to March 2021, and an English version was published by Yen Press. The popularity of Horimiya led to an anime television series adaptation produced by CloverWorks.
  • This aired from January to April 2021. In February 2021, a live-action TV drama adaptation was also premiered.
