The Demon Slayer World Tour featuring the film is an initiative to hype the fans up for whatever crazy adventure awaits Tanjiro in the Swordsmith Village. Fans from the States can buckle their shield.

Orpheum Theatre Downtown in LA will premiere the Demon Slayer Season 3 movie on 18th February. With that, you may be wondering how the film is doing in Japan critically.

How is the film doing critically? Ask the audience.

A good measure to judge a film or an anime film, other than IMDB, Rotten Tomatoes, and MyAnimeList is this – to find out how the audiences are liking it. And the Demon Slayer Movie has seemed to break record estimates.

  • Releasing on February 3, The Demon Slayer Movie actually broke quite the record. Earning over 320 million yen in estimates for its opening day.
  • Everyone expected a Demon Slayer film to do good. For a special-episode compilation type of special, this movie did better than it was expected to.

Clips of leaks are already flooding the internet. People are going haywire over the meeting of the Upper Rank Six shown in the Movie. People are also going nuts over just how good the animation seems to be.

With all this, it seems not too hopeful to be expecting a robust Season 3. As robust as The Entertainment District Arc of the Demon Slayer Anime. Which has deservingly set upper standards.

What is the Demon Slayer Movie about?

To the swordsmith village arc Demon SLayer Movie

Demon Slayer Season 3 Movie, which is actually more of a season premiere special, sets the pace for Tanjiro Kamado to continue his journey.

The journey which the producers will entail throughout this coming season. If the anime adapts the manga faithfully, we will see Tanjiro recovering after his fight in the last season.

He will then head to the Swordsmith village to rebuild his sword by the swordsmith who made his former demon slayer blade. Notably, his sword was broken because of his fight with Rui.

Although the earlier season saw Tanjiro’s fight happening with his friends surrounding him, this time will not be the same. If anything, Tanjiro will have a lot in his place that must figure out himself.

And if you have noticed so far, all the recent arcs follow a set pattern. Tanjiro goes on a journey under a certain Hashira, and faces the Upper-Rank Six Demon force of our dearest Mugan Sama.

Concluding

  • Now the Demon Slayer Movie is no proper movie. What it instead is, is actually an episode compilation. A sort of special release that premieres the first episode of Demon Slayer Season 3.

And it turns out to be, the premiere episode of season 3 is actually over 50 minutes long. Couple that with the last two episodes of the previous season, which is the Entertainment district arc and you have a perfect screenable feature-length story.

The Demon Slayer World Tour will roam multiple major cities around the world. Beginning with Los Angeles and going all the way to Taiwan.
