Fate was first released as a visual novel, and has now dispersed into various other mediums of propagation. One of the most complicated anime lineups, Fate is not an easy series to locomote into. Although it has some of the best combat, including swordfights in anime history, you have to crack the code of the Fate watch order first.

You cannot randomly head into the series and blindly follow the release order of the anime. Doing that will drown you in more confusion, leaving you perplexed for no reason. Therefore, this is the guide that will allow you to watch the Fate series in the correct order, how it was intended to be watched.


Fate watch order: What is the best way to watch the anime?

There are two probable routes that you can follow in order to watch the Fate series. The first one will be the anime release order, while the second is the upcoming method in this article.

Watching this anime in release order is something we will not recommend if you are new to the series. The events taking place, along with the variable timelines can be immensely obnoxious to cope with. However, if you are rewatching the series, then it will not be an issue to follow the release order.

The Fate anime is an extensive series of various plots and timelines, therefore the Fate watch order can be overwhelming to cope with at first. However, with time it will be clear to you as you progress through the storyline.


Recommended Fate watch order

As mentioned earlier, watching Fate as per their release order is not recommended if you are new to the series. Instead follow this order, as this is the best way to keep in touch with the story and enjoy the anime without feeling overwhelmed.

The Heaven’s Feel Trilogy consists of:

  • Fate/Stay night [Heaven’s Feel] III. Spring Song (2020)

The end of the third movie of the Heaven’s Feel trilogy marks the end of the Fate canon series, which involves the universe of Shirou, Rin, Sakura, and others.
