Fans love an exceedingly powerful anime character with scaling off the charts. Hence, this is a ranked list of the 10 strongest male characters in anime history.

Also, this list only shows the characters who have appeared in their respective anime, and their prowess during their screen time. This means that characters like Hajun or Cosmic Garou will not be on the list.

10) Veldora Tempest (That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime)
Veldora is one of the strongest characters in the anime as he is one of the 5 true dragons. True dragons are untainted and pure sources of energy. Therefore people consider him a natural phenomenon, rather than a person due to his immense strength. Although many characters are stronger than him in the light novel, this list is solely based on anime feats, and Veldora surely ranks higher than most men in the anime. He is the storm dragon and gives fair competition to Milim Nava, the strongest woman in the anime during their “bout.”
9) Giorno Giovanna (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure)
Giorno is widely regarded as the strongest character in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure universe. He has an unimaginably powerful stand, which has the ability of negation. he can negate any effects, damage, or any sort of change on a whim and reset everything to zero. Although, lacking in physical strength compared to the other people on this list, Giorno surely is one of the strongest male characters in anime history. His abilities Infinite Spin and Plunder are extremely overpowered abilities that cannot be dodged or negated. Moreover, he can also trap his victims in an infinite death loop.
8) Yhwach (Bleach)
Yhwach is the prime antagonist of the Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War arc as he is also the strongest character in that universe easily. He was born as not being able to see, talk, hear, feel, and many more. However, he survived to his immense survival instincts and spiritual pressure. Now after being held captive for 1000+ years, finally the father of all Quincies returns, more powerful than ever. He killed Yamamoto Genryusai, the strongest soul reaper in his Bankai state, with ease. He can control time and see possible futures ahead of any battle. Ywhach can also be perceived as an almighty in Bleach who can rewrite futures too.
7) Gilgamesh (Fate series)
The proud and mighty Gilgamesh is regarded as the first conqueror and king of the world. He not only has access to an infinite amount of devastating weapons but also can use them to erase entire worlds if he wants to. Two of his greatest weapons, Ea and Enki, can easily destroy multiple worlds upon release. He rarely goes all out in the anime as he is too proud even to do that. It almost seems like he realizes that he can destroy the entire Fate universe on his own. In the visual novel, Fate/Extra CCC, he is omnipotent and can erase and create universes at a whim. However, this has not yet been adapted into an anime which is why we are not counting these abilities, otherwise, he would have ranked much higher on this list.
6) Goku (Dragon Ball series)
Many fans expect Goku to be the strongest anime character of all time. This is where the meme “Can he beat Goku though?” came from. However, it is hardly the case as Goku is not the strongest in anime, but one of the strongest for sure. His power is measured in trillions and sextillions and he is regarded as one of the strongest characters in the anime. His Mastered Ultra Instinct is his strongest form as his sensory skills and spatial awareness is at their maximum. Goku can easily travel at speeds more than 30000 times faster than light and destroy worlds at a whim. So it is imminent that Goku will be there on a list of the strongest male characters in anime history.
5) Saitama (One Punch Man)
It has been an age-old debate among fans as to who is stronger, Saitama or Goku. However, we feel that Saitama edges this fight. Saitama is known as the One Punch Man for a reason as his ridiculous strength defies logic. His unserious punches can destroy the world. One punch has been enough to eliminate all sorts of problems his world has ever faced. The most horrifying part about this is, he is doing all this for fun. He is bored and never gives his best. During his fight with Boros, his punch almost removed the Earth’s atmosphere. Therefore, he has to be on the list of the strongest male characters in anime history.
4) Saiki Kusuo (The Disastrous Life of Saiki K)
Saiki is not just unimaginably overpowered, he also has an IQ of more than 300. He can think of hundreds of possibilities in less than a second and decide on the best course outcome. However, what is preposterous about this introverted high school student is that he is a psychic, with an extensive list of overpowered abilities. Teleportation, mind control, Clairvoyance, Time travel, Petrification, and many more are his most used abilities. He can create an entire universe if he wants to and control the minds of all of them. With telepathy, he can read minds, and with his immense physical strength, he is the one-punch man of his universe. Moreover, he can just open his glasses and look at anybody to turn them into stone.
3) Anos Voldigoad (The Misfit of the Demon King Academy)
Anos Voldigoad is easily one of the strongest male characters in anime. He scales to a multiversal level as he is a Demon King. He can destroy multiverses and is way faster than the speed of light. Anos has Eyes of Chaos which can collapse universes pretty easily. In the anime, he is never shown to have a tough time and has repeatedly toyed with all of his enemies no matter how powerful they are. He can easily conquer weapons that do not exist in space and time and can move faster than unimaginable speeds. Alongside his outerversal strength, he is also a genius with a photographic memory.
2) Rimuru (That Time I Got Reincarnated As As A Slime)
Now we are heading into enormous power scaling. Rimuru is a Demon Lord in the anime, which means he can destroy multiple universes with Belzebuth. He has infinite mana and can let Belzebuth wreak havoc to destroy several universes. Rimuru has a multidimensional imaginary space within himself where he can store almost every consumable. He is a supreme deity and a boundless entity, controlling all the universes and worlds operating in the anime. Light speed or magic attacks are like child’s play to him. He will toy with the likes of Goku or Saitama if given a chance.
1) Zeno (Dragon Ball Super)
Zeno is a cute little colored guy up front who looks as innocent as it gets. However, do not get fooled by his appearance as he can destroy multiverses if he wants to. Zeno is not a fighter but his erasure abilities can erase practically anything, even if it is infinite. It is impossible to measure his power level as his erasure ability works way faster than the speed of light and can remove universes from existence. Therefore, it is widely accepted that Zeno is infinite and is the strongest male character in anime history.
