My Hero Academia Chapter 389 is scheduled to be released on Sunday, May 21, 2023. Readers can access the chapter on the series’ official Viz and Manga Plus websites. Chapter 388 focused exclusively on the situation in Gunga, as Endeavor struggled to create enough distance between Toya and the nearby U.A. shelters.

Instead of escaping with the others, Rei used the specialized robots to reach the location of the huge fireball, and began trying to cool down Endeavor and Toya using her flames. Chapter 388 was a short eleven-page chapter, but proved to be emotionally heavy in terms of content, promising to conclude the tragic saga of the Todoroki family next week.

My Hero Academia Chapter 389 predictions

My Hero Academia Chapter 389 will show the remaining members of the Todoroki family, trying to stop Toya, despite being burned by the heat of the latter’s intense flames. But even with the Himura family’s powerful Ice quirk, Rei will likely fail to cool down her son’s burning body, lacking the kind of training heroes receive for strengthening their abilities.

With the entire family at the brink of destruction, the upcoming chapter might show Shoto arriving in the nick of time to save his parents and siblings from being devoured by Toya’s quirk. From the very beginning of the series, Deku’s narration cemented the conviction that My Hero Academia is the story of how they all became heroes. This suggests that not only will they all survive, but they will hopefully save their loved ones along the way.

Assuming that My Hero Academia Chapter 389 is a full length chapter, the chapter might finally give fans an update on Bakugo’s condition and Deku and Shigaraki’s confrontation. Other major battles which might receive a nod in the chapter include Uraraka and Asui’s fight against Toga Himiko, and All Might’s last stand against All For One.

My Hero Academia Chapter 388 began with Kendo restraining All For One’s spies and announcing that the system’s had been permanently compromised. As the heroes began evacuating the civilians from the shelter, urging them to climb atop the U.A. robots and escape. Despite the pouring rain, Dabi’s flames cast a terrifying glow and heroes warned the people to avoid looking at it in order to avoid mass hysteria and panic.

But upon seeing the flames, Rei told Natsuo to look after Fuyumi and boarded one of the robots, instructing it to take her to the epicenter. When Endeavor noticed Rei approaching them while using her quirk to cool the flames down, he frantically told her to get away from there. A delirious Toya called out to his mother and she apologized to him, only to realize that Natsuo and Fuyumi had followed her as well.
