“Yorozu getting Yuki treatment?”- Jujutsu Kaisen fans furious over Akutami for nerfing female Special-Grade sorcerers

As the Season 2 of the Jujutsu Kaisen anime is coming soon, the fans of the series are excited to relive the journey of the Jujutsu sorcerers. However, there is some fair discontentment among the manga readers, as the raw scans and spoilers of the latest chapter are out.

Fans are not at all happy with how the events between Sukuna and Yoruzu have played out. Although there was considerable hype regarding their fight in the Heian era, it did not go how fans would have wanted it to. Jujutsu Kaisen fans upset with Gege Akutami regarding the latest scans of the manga

The latest Chapter 219 scans explore the meeting of Sukuna and Yorozu back in the Heian. The setting of the past is a festival for Sukuna, where Yoruzu falls in love with him. Eventually, it turns out into a bloodthirsty fight between the two characters later in the chapter.

After being badly injured by Uraume, Sukuna’s partner, Yorozu dies and returns to the present. Here she encounters Sukuna yet again as the fight starts. Yorozu eventually dies from Sukuna’s Mahoraga even after activating her own Domain Expansion and True Sphere.

This has made the fans really upset as even after all the hype, Yorozu is yet another weak female character in Gege Akutami’s books.

Female Special-Grade sorcerers dying off in their first fight is not unusual in Jujutsu Kaisen. Fans have pointed out that not a single of them has survived after their first fight in the series. Alongside Yorozu, another character who fell victim to this was Yuki Tsukumo.

Therefore, the fans have pointed this out as it is an unpleasant experience for manga readers who want their favorite female characters to shine. Moreover, these were the characters that held a lot of potentials. Even though they had an incredible backstory and great writing, killing them off destroys their entire characterization. They are now just reduced to their death.

Thinking of Yorozu, her backstory, and characterization was simply one of the most immaculate in all of Jujutsu Kaisen. Although Gege Akutami has the right to kill off any character he wants to as he is the creator of this manga, it is still displeasing for the fans who expected something from the characters.

Yuki Tsukumo was the other promising character who was killed off abruptly in the series. Moreover, she finally started getting the limelight she deserved. Characters like Sukuna, Geto, Toji, and of course Gojo have immense power scaling in the manga. However, whenever it comes to the female Special-Grade sorcerers or even the other female characters, their power is not even comparable to theirs.
