People who grew up in the 1990s and 2000s are familiar with Power Rangers on television, specially the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. The series has had numerous chapters and reboots, and it was regularly broadcast on television on a weekly and daily basis.
Now, after 30 years, the show has returned. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always, a television special commemorating the original’s 30th anniversary, will premiere on Netflix.
The streaming service recently released a trailer for the show, which brought back some fond memories for the fans.
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always is back after three decades

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers debuted in 1993. It followed a group of teenagers recruited by Zordon to become Rangers and defend Angel Grove. It was the first installment of the series, which went on to become one of the most popular pop culture references of the time.
It spawned numerous spinoffs and reboots, making the franchise unique in terms of merchandise, toys, action figures, and collectibles. As a result, when Netflix released the trailer for the reunion special, the internet exploded.
Air date
The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers reunite to celebrate their 30th anniversary. On April 19, Netflix will release the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once and Always. This reunion special had been planned for a long time, with Entertainment Weekly first revealing that it will air in the summer of 2023.
Plot

The plot revolves around a group of five “adolescents with attitude” who become the first team of Power Rangers on Earth, led by their mentor Zordon and his robotic assistant Alpha 5.
The team is led against the evil witch Rita Repulsa and her minions. They were unintentionally released from their confinement on the moon, where Zordon had defeated them 10,000 years before the series began. Throughout the series, Rita was aided by Lord Zedd, the self-proclaimed “Emperor of Evil” and later Rita’s husband, and Rito Revolto, Rita’s inept brother, who initially managed to destroy the Thunderzords.
People are already speculating about the plot based on the new trailer. At first glance, it appears to be quite silly, but there is an unexpected twist. Rita Repulsa, the original villain, reappears in a robot body and devises a nefarious plan to travel back in time and eliminate the Power Rangers before they even become Rangers. To foil her scheme, the original Blue and Black Rangers, Billy and Zack, team up with the Red and Pink Rangers from the second Mighty Morphin era, Rocky and Kat.
With its plot setup, Once & Always serves as a reminder of the 90s era. The addition of a new character, Minh, as the daughter of Trini, the Yellow Ranger, who was killed by Rita, adds another layer of emotional depth to the story. The trailer also teased a tribute to the late Jason David Frank, who played the Green Ranger and died last year.
