Many game titles are coming to Nintendo Switch. Either it’s an old title remake or a brand-new game. The announcement of the upcoming games was streamed live on the latest Nintendo Direct 2023, on June 21st. One title that got fans excited is Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon. Here, we will delve into what’s new in the soon-to-be-released game.
Luigi Mansion: Dark Moon is releasing on Switch
Out of all the Nintendo franchises, Luigi’s Mansion is the odd one out. The younger brother of Mario, the cowardly Luigi, is the star of this highly entertaining horror game. In these video games, Luigi plays a ghost hunter on a journey to find his kidnapped sibling and enters a spooky location.
Of course, many fans, especially Mario franchise fans, love this entertaining game. Knowing that this game has a lot of interest, Nintendo confirmed they are working on the remastered version of Luigi Mansion: Dark Moon.
- As hinted at by its brief appearance in Nintendo Direct 2023, Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon, also known as Luigi’s Mansion 2 in other domains, will get a visual transformation for Nintendo Switch following its original 3DS release.
- The updated version’s anti-aliasing is considerably better, but the rest of the game seems unchanged.

Enhanced Graphics
In the short clip of the latest Nintendo Direct 2023, Shinya Takahashi, along with Yoshiaki Koizumi as host/guide, confirmed that Luigi Mansion: Dark Moon is being developed by Nintendo. Not only announcing the development, but they also promised Nintendo fans that Luigi’s Mansion in Nintendo Switch would have ‘visually enhanced’ graphics.
This horror-comedy game was first released back in 2013. This was ten years ago, and the game was available on one of Nintendo’s successful platforms, 3DS. Back then, 3DS games were considered ‘high-tech’ with their 3D feature, even when the graphics were still rough. But even then, this Luigi’s game title had many fans loving the game.
Even though Nintendo has already released the sequel of the game Luigi’s Mansion 3 in 2019, they know that fans will be thrilled to be able to play Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon again. Not wanting to disappoint their fans, the remake of the classic Luigi game will have a noticeable visual enhancement on the Nintendo Switch.

June 2023 Nintendo Direct was really a smile-generating announcement for Mario franchise fans. Not only Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon, but a few more Mario-based titles are coming to Nintendo Switch soon.

Although this announcement in Nintendo Direct 2023 brings a lot of joy to fans around the world, some fans are also complaining about Nintendo’s decision to release a standalone remake.
