Nelly and Ashanti are reportedly expecting their first child together after the two rekindled their romance following being a decade apart. The couple first sparked pregnancy rumors when the singer-actress attended her boyfriend’s Black and White Ball in St. Louis over the weekend. At the time, the Foolish hitmaker placed her hand on her stomach while on stage, while the rapper did the same. From there, they broke into laughter, seemingly hinting that they already had a bun in the oven.

Though Nelly and Ashanti are yet to confirm the claims, a source told Us Weekly that they are indeed “welcoming their first baby together.” If the news is true, this will be the 43-year-old’s first child, while it will be the Dilemma singer’s third after having two kids, Chanelle, 29, and Cornell Haynes III, 24, with his ex, Channetta Valentine.
For starters, the couple had an on-and-off relationship from 2003 to 2013. They then sparked reconciliation rumors in April this year after they were spotted holding each other’s hands at a boxing match in Las Vegas.
In September, Nelly confirmed their rekindled romance in Philo TV’s Boss Moves with Rasheeda. “Yeah, we cool again,” he said.
But just like fans, he admitted that they were also surprised by their renewed relationship, and it wasn’t something that they had planned. “It wasn’t anything that I don’t think was planned,” he added.
