It’s been days, but former 90-Day Fiance star Paul Staehle is still missing. The Kentucky native was reported missing since August 31, and his family and friends have been looking for him. Staehle, who married the Brazilian Karine Martins on the show, continues to make headlines despite being sacked from the popular reality TV series. Unfortunately, Paul is still nowhere to be found.
Still no word from Paul Staehle’s whereabouts
Before Paul went radio silent and seemingly vanished from the face of the Earth, he was able to send messages to his mother, Mary. John Yates, an associate of Paul from the 90 Day Fiance show, revealed the messages Paul’s mom received before he went missing.

In the conversation, Paul told his mom that “he got lost” and that he “f–ked up so bad.” He even advised Mary to get help from his friends. However, it was already very late at night, and nobody could reply. Soon after, it seems that Paul’s phone died as his mother can no longer contact him. Later, Mary broke her silence and shared everything she knew.
“He was lost and pinged me his location to try and get a friend to help,” Mary told In Touch Weekly. “He told me he messed up, was alone, which was really stupid, and his phone was about to die. I sent the three names he gave me urgent messages, but it was very late, so no replies until next morning. I pray he is OK. And just has no way to communicate. I have to believe that.”
As of this writing, his family and friends are making moves for a search and rescue operation. In addition to that, Yates also announced that the US Embassy is now joining the operation.
Where is Paul Staehle?
Paul Staehle has reportedly been traveling in Brazil since July of this year. Before being missing, he was believed to still be in the country because his last pinged location was somewhere in a dangerous place in the Amazon.

Right now, nobody knows for sure about Paul’s status. It has been about a week since we last heard from him, and everyone is already looking for the TV personality.
However, those following this unfortunate event believe something terrible happened to Paul. First, Paul’s wife, Karine, posted cryptic messages on her Instagram account. The Brazilian currently living in the USA started addressing Paul in the past tense.

Moreover, netizens were confused whenever Karine posted odd things on her social media despite the news that Paul had been missing for days. Aside from that, Karine also shared a meme about life insurance as a way to show care for your loved ones, which sparked more speculations from fans. Furthermore, it seems Karine stopped helping in the search for Paul after getting criticism and backlash online. Because of all these, netizens can’t help but think: Is Paul dead?

Paul and Karine have had a rollercoaster marriage
Paul Staehle and Karine Martins were first featured in season 1 of the hit reality TV show 90-Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days in 2017. The couple wasn’t perfect, but they continued with the marriage. Paul brought Karine to Kentucky, and they lived together. A couple of years later, they were given their first child.
However, it wasn’t rainbows and butterflies for the husband and wife. Their marriage was a roller coaster ride after various police visits due to reports of domestic abuse. Then came the controversial battle for custody after the authorities took their children from them. Currently, the kids are in foster care. Paul and Karine reportedly split but then got back together earlier this year. Because of the drama they’ve been going through, the organizers of 90-Day Fiance decided to part ways with Paul and Karine Staehle.
