Another James Harden saga: The Beard really wants out of Philly | NBA fans react

James Harden leaving Philadelphia 76ers

Well, we surely have come to a point where James Harden demanding a trade is highly more likely than the Charlotte Hornets winning a championship. Groundhog Day, Déjà vu, or whatever you may call it, but every NBA fan has already witnessed that Harden has a knack for forcing his way out of his team. Right now, another James Harden saga is in the works, only this time, with the Philadelphia 76ers.

The James Harden saga continues, only this time, with the Philadelphia 76ers

James Harden demands a trade, gets frustrated, and then forces his way out? It feels like we’ve seen this one already. Not once, but twice! Let’s make a quick recap. Before the 2020-2021 season started, Harden requested a trade from the Houston Rockets. The All-star shooting guard opted to not join training camp and this kind of action would be the first of many. Despite that, the Rockets still kept him and Harden played (kind of) for 8 games before the organization finally decided its time for the superstar to go.

Later on, he would be traded to the Brooklyn Nets where JH will reunite with his former teammate, Kevin Durant, and tag along with another superstar, Kyrie Irving. Well, we all knew the “Scary Hours” Nets were a complete mess. Eventually, Harden gets frustrated again and would demand a trade from Brooklyn with just 44 games in the 2021-2022 season. On the other hand, the Philadelphia 76ers were also having a tough time with Ben Simmons at the time and the drama from both teams was solved by trading James Harden to the Sixers in exchange for Simmons and other players.

Now, we’re back at it again with James Harden demanding a trade from the Sixers after a disappointing playoff run

After losing to the Boston Celtics in the 2023 Eastern Conference Semifinals, James Harden was reportedly frustrated (again) and was growing tired, especially with head coach Doc Rivers. Rivers was eventually fired after, but that did not stop Harden from asking for a trade. As a free agent in 2023, he opted for another two years with the Sixers but demanded a trade later on.

On Saturday, Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the Sixers have ended trade talks and James Harden amid the ongoing drama. Furthermore, the team plans on bringing him back and want to run it again with the 2023 MVP, Joel Embiid. Just a few hours after this news broke out, Sam Amick (NBA insider/The Athletic) reported that James Harden “has no plans on playing for Philly” and that the 10-time All-Star will unsurprisingly not be participating in training camp. Previously, the Los Angeles Clippers showed interest in The Beard but they weren’t able to accrue a good-enough offer that would entice Daryl Morey to send Harden to California. Well, one thing is for sure – James Harden is most definitely not playing in Philadelphia next season. We’ve seen him do this a couple of times and nobody can stop him.

After learning about James Harden’s usual tactics, it did not take long for fans to make fun of The Beard online

James Harden would be the talk of the town following the rumors and reports surrounding his latest decisions. Obviously, fans would have various reactions and Harden would become another victim of public online scrutiny.
