It felt to us inevitable, that The Man of Steel Actor’s return to DC via Black Adam was the prime reason why he left The Witcher. But in odd turns of events, Liam Hemsworth in The Witcher 4 and 5 may have to take over Henry Cavill. - I couldn’t help but sense from Dwayne, his inkling to join something comprising similar to the Justice League or the Avengers Assemble himself. Perhaps the return of Henry Cavill as Superman, and the eventual credit that it would give to the former WWE star was more than just lucrative in his mind.
Flash forward, his wishes were granted. Yet the manifestation only seemed to have rubbed off only initially. The Black Adam did horribly in comparison to its estimated projections. The Net earnings in Box Offices around the globe spoke volumes about that.

Not only that, a few months later the Internet blows up when James Gunn reveals that the entire DC is being reset. Thus rendering Superman’s return in the Black Adam post-credit scenes null.
But before this was canceled, we had an interesting change of tides. Upon the revelation of Henry Cavill’s return as Man of Steel in Black Adam, another news ensued. That he shall no longer be part of The Witcher’s franchise starting Season 4. Although he still had (has) a contract for Season 3.

The obvious conclusion that many (us alike) came upon was that he had naturally let go of The Witcher for his return as Superman. But when tides changed yet again and his return as Man Of Steel was declared void, fans hoped that now he should take aback his inability to play as Geralt. But this did not happen.
