It is confirmed that Best Buy will have the PS5 for sale in stores. Yes, we’re actually seeing an offline restock after months. Here are all the details you need to know.
Best Buy’s official website now has a Video Game In-Store Event page. On the page, Best Buy writes –
On Thursday, September 23, select Best Buy stores will have limited quantities of the following next-gen consoles:
- Xbox Series
- PlayStation 5
- PlayStation 5 Digital
For PS5 drops and restocks, follow us on Twitter @spieltimes where we tweet out instantly when there’s a PS5 drop or restock.
At 7:30 am local time, Best Buy employees will hand out tickets. Since a lot of people will know about this now, it’s best to reach your nearest store with stock (how will you know that? Check last paragraph) at least 2-3 hours early. They’ll ask you which console you want to buy and based on that, hand out a ticket. They ensure that everyone with a ticket “will be guaranteed the opportunity to purchase the console”. Now, that’s really awesome!

I think this a terrible way to sell the systems I don’t have a car and don’t live near these stores in Massachusetts. So I miss out because some people in the company put them out in the suburbs mmmm.
