Transformers: Rise of the Beasts mid-credits scene

Bear in mind that there is no post-credits scene in the movie. However, there is a scene right in the middle of the credits rolling. The scene holds a special place for Autobots fans as it shows the robots’ resilience.

The scene shows Anthony Ramos’ Noah Diaz, a former soldier and tech-head who repairs and revives Mirage, the fallen Autobot played by Pete Davidson. This comes as a pleasant surprise as Mirage died in the third-act battle of the film

Noah’s friend Reek jokingly suggests selling Mirage’s parts in Brooklyn to earn cash. However, Reek is taken aback after Mirage undergoes a stunning transformation and comes back to life.

What does the mid-credits scene mean?

The mid-credits scene from Transformers: Rise of the Beasts clearly establishes the wholesome bond between Noah and Mirage. Their character arcs complete a full circle in the film as Mirage initially tries to kidnap Noah.

Now, they share a brother-like connection as Mirage sacrifices his life, and Noah rewards the fallen Autobot by reviving him. The human-Transformer relationship is a key aspect of the franchise, like the bond between Sam and Bumblebee.

In fact, it seems like Mirage came back to life with an energon infusion, just like Bumblebee. The Autobot’s martyrdom to protect Noah and turn him into a super-soldier aligns with Optimus Prime’s iconic motto, ‘’Til All Are One!’.

Future of the Transformers franchise

Apart from Mirage’s revival, the ending of Transformers: Rise of the Beasts also hints at a potential crossover with the GI Joe universe. We see Noah going in for an interview with Michael Kelly’s Agent Burke, from the latter Hasbro franchise.

It’ll be interesting to watch how the GI Joe and Transformers franchises tie up. Furthermore, the exploration of the Beast Wars era alongside Noah and Mirage’s budding friendship leaves fans optimistic about what’s coming next.

Cast, crew, plot, and box office

In Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, Optimus Prime and the Autobots team up with the Maximals, who are Transformers from the Beast Wars era. They battle the relentless Terrorcons, who want to use the Transwarp key to bring forth the destructive Unicron.

Directed by Steven Caple Jr, the film features Anthony Ramos as Noah Diaz and Dominique Fishback as Elena Wallace, an artifact researcher. Pete Davidson voices Autobot Mirage while Peter Cullen returns to voice Optimus Prime.

The film made an impressive $60.5 million in its opening weekend, surpassing the previous two films. While critics had mixed reviews, audiences gave an A- CinemaScore, which is decent enough for a Transformers movie.
