Get ready to discover the names that are destined to make waves and alter history in the highly anticipated NBA Draft 2023.

10. Anthony Black (Arkansas Razorbacks)

Arkansas’ Anthony Black has two assets to his game: passing and on-ball defense. Black is also a huge guard, standing at 6 feet and 7 inches with a listed weight of 200 pounds.

Anthony Black falls on the bottom of the top 10 – sometimes not even in the ranking – mainly because of how much of an impact in scoring he can provide for teams that would want him. The 19-year-old guard can pass the ball well and deflect passing lanes with his long hands. But, his shooting is below average, making him an offensive liability.

9. Cason Wallace (Kentucky Wildcats)

Every college coach would want a player like Cason Wallace. A gritty defender who has heart, passion, and hustle to dive for loose balls and guard the opposing team’s best player.

Kentucky has been producing great talents in the past years such as Tyler Herro, Tyrese Haliburton, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, and many more. With Wallace joining the draft, he could be one of the next Kentucky guards who finds success in the NBA. He does not score as much as other guys on this list, but he is great in every other aspect of the game.

8. Taylor Hendricks (UCF Knights)

Taylor Hendricks is the perfect archetype forward who does it all. A stretch 4 who can also defend the rim and make shots on the other end, while also being a good passer. His versatility is what teams look for a big man and Hendricks can deliver.

He has huge upside and high ceiling but needs a lot of improvement, especially shooting off the dribble. Hendricks doesn’t do very well as a shot creator, but that can be improved.

7. Cam Whitmore (Villanova Wildcats)

Don’t get fooled by his appearance! Villanova’s Cam Whitmore can easily bully defenders in the paint with his unmatched strength. At 6’6”, the 18-year-old forward likes to attack the basket with his body.

Whitmore is not the most reliable scoring option in the top 10 prospects, but he has potential to become one. His great IQ in moving with and without the ball makes it easier for his teammates to find him.

6. Ausar Thompson (Overtime Elite)

The Thompson twins, who both happen to be on our list, have great chance to be picked higher in the 2023 NBA draft. Last year, Ausar Thompson was the projected no.5 pick after winning regular season MVP, Finals MVP, and a title with Overtime Elite.

Ausar has similar traits with his twin brother, Amen, and has been praised for his great work ethic. They have the same physical attributes, but unlike Amen, Ausar isn’t much of a playmaker. Although he is a better shooter than his brother, Ausar still needs to improve on his shotmaking decisions.

5. Jarace Walker (Houston Cougars)

The Houston Cougars freshman definitely showed up in his rookie year. A 6-foot-8, 240 pound forward who can defend from 1-5 may seem like a bit of stretch, but Walker is really a scary defender even though he’s an undersized power forward.

Jarace Walker is an average shooter, but combining that with his defensive prowess, he can be a great pickup for any team. His length, strength, and power allows him to body guys taller and bigger than him.

4. Brandon Miller (Alabama Crimson Tide)

Alabama’s Brandon Miller sometimes looks like a Kevin Durant/Brandon Ingram prototype when he gets hot. Miller thrives in shooting while coming off screens. Add that with his size and length, the 6-foot-9 wing is a remarkable athlete.

If not for his inability to finish under the basket or explode to the rim, he would be ranked higher and could even top Scoot Henderson. His lethal off-the-screen threes are a commodity in today’s NBA. In addition, his scoring is already top-tier in most leagues.

3. Amen Thompson (Overtime Elite)

Overtime Elite’s Amen Thompson rose to the draft rankings this year mainly because he has a huge upside due to his playmaking ability.

Amen is one of the Thompson twins and is playing alongside his brother, Auser, in Overtime Elite. Amen is a flashy passer with amazing court vision. Plus, he can explode to the rim with ease. He is also a good perimeter defender, making him a great recruit for NBA teams. One thing he lacks is creativity, which he can work around when he comes to the league.

2. Scoot Henderson (G-League Ignite)

If it weren’t for Wembanyama, Scoot Henderson is undeniably the best athlete on this list. Although he’s not as tall as the other guards in his class, he prides himself on extreme athleticism and quickness.

The 6-foot-2 point guard is a great scorer and has a nice touch with the ball. His first step is beautiful and when he gets in transition, he becomes unstoppable. He may have things he needs to improve like playing off-ball or increasing his three-point shot percentage, but overall, he’s a pretty solid scorer and playmaker.

1. Victor Wembanyama (Boulogne-Levallois Metropolitans 92)

It seems like a no-brainer that Victor Wembanyama will be the 2023 first-overall pick. The French superstar is probably the most-hyped, most highly anticipated, and most-awaited player coming to the NBA. He is also arguably the best athlete in this class.

The San Antonio Spurs had just won the draft lottery and there’s no doubt they’re picking Wembanyama with their #1 pick. A 7-foot-5 center with an 8-feet wingspan who can almost do it all – shoot threes, crossover, turnaround jump shots, blocks, and everything else. Wemby is a combination of Kevin Durant, Kristaps Porzingis, and Wilt Chamberlain with his offensive and defensive prowess.
