The lore and tales of the Shinobi from Konohagakure (village hidden in the leaf) have reached quite a numerable amount of audiences all throughout the world. The gallant Jiraya’s child of prophecy – Naruto Uzumaki is still as strong as he was 20 years ago in the hearts of all who revere him. This Monday, October 3rd, 2022 Naruto’s 20th-anniversary event celebrates its twentieth year in the making by inaugurating a new official website along with new key visuals and promo video.
Key Visual for Naruto 20th Anniversary
Viz Media which is a part of the Shogakukan and Shueisha conglomerate and is primarily responsible for all Japanese manga releases in North America released three key visuals for Naruto’s 20th Anniversary.
- One of the visuals (As shown above) takes fans back to the good old era of Naruto’s early days as a Genin ninja. The visual features Team 7 along with Neji, Kiba, Shikamaru, and Choji.
- It also features a snippet of the legendary fight between Sasuke and Naruto in the valley of the end that took place by the end of Naruto.
- The other key visual brings us back to the initial Naruto Shippuden to Pain arc. The Naruto 20th anniversary celebration requires a callback to the legendary story of Akatsuki and the straying of Sasuke Uchiha.
- Such a requiem was given its due with a stunning visual that did not shy away from featuring the death of Jiraya sensei.
- The third visual released for Naruto’s 20th anniversary features the second half of the Naruto Shippuden story. The visual features the truth of Itachi, the fourth shinobi war, and the epic fight against Kaguya Otutsuki.
Naruto 20th Anniversary launches new Website
Naruto’s official webpage acts as a fun load of databases containing numerous things. Primarily these can be identified in three segments – information on the anime (Naruto, Naruto Shippuden, and Boruto: Naruto Next Generations), the Manga (all serialization of the Naruto franchise in the weekly shonen magazine, Shonen Jump by Shueisha), and Merchandise.
I took a quick stroll around the website to see what it is made up of.
- One can easily scroll through the various news regarding the latest developments in the Naruto universe. This one is more relevant for those looking to find updates on Boruto’s storyline in both Manga and anime given that Boruto is the only concurrent running story.
- Further exploration will give you insights into the specific story elements of both manga and anime. Each episode and arc can now be read on the website. The website also has sudden quizzes that will incite the Naruto fan within you.Ā
Campaign in the mobile game for Naruto’s 20th Anniversary
NARUTO X BORUTO NINJA VOLTAGE is a mobile-phone developed game for iOS and Android devices. The game is an action-based strategy game and incorporates multiple mobile-game elements such as tower defense and fort attacks.
The fourth Naruto opening Flow’s GO!!! will be featured as background music for the game for a certain period.
6 days Log in bonusĀ
Naruto’s 20th Anniversary log-in bonus will give a total of 300 in-game currency divided between 6 days of logging in.
New Ninja Cards
A whole pack of Naruto Uzumaki (early days) series cards will be released on October 7th. The cards are used for in-game action. One such card will allow “Rasengan!!” special technique execution.Ā The game is also releasing multiple other ninjutsu cards that include, for one example, “Shuriken Kage Bunshin no Jutsu”.
Merchandise Release
Naruto’s 20th Anniversary celebration in their officially launched new website has started a series of figurehead sales. The website contains a series of miniature figures that could be bought. Users on Twitter especially state that this sale would further grow to incorporate more items on sale with time. One such figure features teen Naruto together with grown 7th Hokage naruto and is an exact replica of a teaser visual released earlier.

A promotional video celebrating Naruto’s 20th anniversary shall be released on Studio Pierrot’s official youtube site here. The PV will be titled “ROAD OF NARUTO” and premieres at 19:00 JST timing today (3rd October).

The thing about works such as Naruto is that it continues to inspire even decades after being born. Something similar to the Dragonball franchise which made its return even after years of ending. The thing about a franchise as big as Naruto is that there is often a lot of money that can be sponged.
Whenever a series grows too big it becomes a corporate obligation to continue its unobstructed storyline. A befitting end of Naruto’s story came with the epilogue that has now stretched itself named Boruto. Yet this corporate ploy is no reason to shy away from immersing oneself in the fictional universe of such great caliber.
