Pokemon GO is back again with the Adventure Week 2023 event. You will be able to encounter and capture various spawn rate-boosted Fossil and Rock type Pokemon. There will be an abundance of new in-game content during the time period as well. So, let us take a look at what lies in store for us this Adventure Week 2023 in Pokemon GO.
All Shiny Pokemon
You can encounter an abundance of Shiny Pokemons if you are lucky. Shiny Tyrunt and Shiny Amaura, along with Shiny Mega Tyrantiar, are coming to the game for the first time. Below is the list of all the Shiny Pokemon you might run into during the fun-filled week.

- Amaura
- Kabuto
- Lileep
- Omanyte
- Anorith
- Tirtouga
- Cranidos
- Aerodactyl
- Archen
- Shieldon
- Mega Tyrantier
You can also hatch 7 km eggs and expect four Pokemon — from Archen, Tirtouga, Tyrunt and Amaura. The Tyrunt and Amaura hatched this way will have a greater chance of being shiny.
Pokemon GO Adventure Week 2023: Raids
Legendary Raids (5 Star)
During the Pokemon GO Adventure Week 2023, you will be able to own Regidrago by fighting and capturing it via Gym Raids. Keep your eyes peeled over your nearby gyms to spot a raid. Remember to take the appropriate Pokemon with you in the fight. Regidrago is weak against Dragon, Fairy, and Ice-type Pokemon.
Mega Raids
Mega Tyrantiar will make its debut in the Mega Raids. You can capture a Shiny version of the Pokemon if luck is on your side. It will be a mighty opponent, so it is necessary to carefully choose the Pokemon you will pit against it.
Mega Tyrantiar is particularly vulnerable against Fighting-types. It is weak against Bug, Fairy, Grass, Ground, Steel, and Water-type attacks as well.
Pokemon GO Adventure Week 2023: Timed Research
Paid Timed Research
For a small price of $2.00, you can experience the event’s exclusive timed research. After paying the price for a ticket, you will be able to complete various exploration-related tasks. On completion, you will be rewarded with two incubators, one Super incubator, and a chance to encounter an event-themed Pokemon.
- You can gift a timed research ticket to your friend with whom you have achieved an in-game friendship level of Great Friends or higher.
- This will be a limited-time event from July 27, 2023, at 10:00 am to August 1, 2023, at 8:00 pm local time.
- You can only play the timed research within this designated time frame. After the given time, the research and its rewards will disappear.
Free Timed Research
There will also be a free timed research event for players who do not want to spend their money. They will be able to collect rewards after completing certain research and exploration-related tasks. This will also be a limited-time event like the previous one and will follow the same timeline.
Event Bonuses
During the Adventure Week, players will be able to get the following bonuses:
- 2 times XP after spinning Pokestops.
- 5 times XP after spinning a Pokestop for the first time.
- 1/2 Hatch Distance after placing an egg into an incubator.
