Britney Spears is already controversial herself, but things even get more contentious with her NSWF posts on Instagram. So, to finally shut down the talks about it, the 41-year-old addresses this issue in an excerpt from her upcoming memoir, The Woman in Me, via The New York Times.
By the looks of it, it’s the mother-of-two’s way to reclaim herself after being snatched of her freedom following her 13-year conservatorship. Hence, taking and posting her own photos makes her feel free after being controlled for years.
“I know that a lot of people don’t understand why I love taking pictures of myself naked or in new dresses,” she explained. “But I think if they’d been photographed by other people thousands of times, prodded and posed for other people’s approval, they’d understand that I get a lot of joy from posing the way I feel sexy and taking my own picture.”
Britney has been raising eyebrows and sparking concerns over her raunchy Instagram posts, from her provocative photos to her risky videos, especially the ones where she holds an alleged fake set of kitchen knives. Though she had already apologized for distressing her followers over her knife-wielding moves, many are still not convinced that those aren’t real daggers. This even resulted in a police visit, which she found a little too much of a fan concern, as they seemed already meddling with her life.
