Italia Ricci’s Career
Born October 29, 1986, Italia Ricci was lucky enough to start her career by having a major acting debut in the American Pie direct-to-video film Beta House in 2007. She had a recurring role on the Disney XD series Aaron Stone from there.
In 2009, she started to do American projects, playing minor roles in How I Met Your Mother, House, and Greek. She also had a recurring role in the Comedy Central series Secret Girlfriend, followed by a role in the live-action series Unnatural History on Cartoon Network, a Clean & Clear commercial, and a small part in Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s directorial debut movie Don Jon.
In 2014, she joined ABC Family’s Chasing Life and Supergirl in 2015. After just a year, she starred in ABC’s political drama Designated Survivor. She then began appearing in several Hallmark Channel movies, like Rome in Love and Love in Winterland. She also did the Netflix series The Imperfects in 2022.
Italia Ricci’s Love Life
Sorry, guys, but Italia Ricci is married, and her husband is a fellow actor. The 37-year-old started dating Robbie Amell, famous for his role as Stephen Jameson on The CW series The Tomorrow People, Ronnie Raymond/Firestorm on The Flash, and Nathan Brown in the Prime Video series Upload, in 2008. And after eight years, they finally tied the knot. The couple welcomed their first child, Robert V, in 2019.
As they continuously built their lives together, they started working on several businesses, like the fitness studio F45 Clarkson, gourmet charcuterie and catering company Cured Catering, and organic and sustainable loungewear line Veld Amsterdam.
Italia Ricci’s New Hallmark Channel Holiday Movie
The Thanksgiving holiday will never be complete without a Hallmark Channel Christmas movie. Hence, Italia Ricci, opposite Luke Macfarlane, helps everyone get into the Christmas spirit with Catch Me If You Clause.
The story begins on Christmas Eve when Avery (Italia) wakes up to someone breaking into her house. She then sees a man wearing a Santa Claus outfit and quickly gets into action by jumping onto him and tying him up with a string of Christmas lights, of course.
However, the intruder, Chris (Luke), asks her to let him go as he’s only in the middle of a very important job: delivering presents. He then confesses that he’s Santa Claus’ son and Avery will ruin Christmas if he fails to give the kids gifts.
But Avery isn’t convinced and even accuses him of being the elusive Santa Crook in the news. As an aspiring news anchor, she sees this ordeal as a potential major story for her career. Hence, Chris only has a night to convince Avery that he’s nice and not naughty.
The film was released on Thanksgiving Day.
As the Holiday season begins, Hallmark Channel is about to release a series of Christmas movies featuring the network’s fan-favorite stars, Lacey Chabert, Nikki DeLoach, Andrew Walker, Bethany Joy Lenz, Erin Cahill, and Jonathan Bennett.
