The Zom 100 anime started airing on July 9th and the Zom 100 Live action will be out on August 3. The anime started on a high note, impressing fans with the cinematography and a blissful visual experience. The music and the movements just added to the fun.

Now with Live Action, will we be able to experience similar things? As the anime goes on what are the primary differences we’ll get to see between the two formats? Let’s assess the direction the anime will be moving in with the Live action as the context in mind.

There’s no doubt about the fact that as the anime goes on it’ll be different from the Live action. The reason is the freedom and space to experiment in the animation space. If both the formats are exact copies of one another, they are not utilizing the individual potential of a Live Action and an anime. Zom 100 Will the anime be different from the Live Action (1)

So it’ll be better to have some differences between the two. As for the Zom 100 Live Action and Zom 100 anime, the trailers are proof enough that the creators are trying to keep the basic structure intact with minor to zero changes.

Differences between Zom 100 anime and Live Action

When both the live-action and the anime will be available to watch, we can expect some key differences.

  • The Live action will be more grotesque as compared to the anime. The anime has given everything a touch of beauty with the extraordinary use of colors.
  • The freedom of movements is limitless in an anime so here we’ll see the anime being more flexible and exaggerated with the movements. Whether it’s the zombies or Tendo, the MC.

Similarities to expect

The trailer of the Live Action has given us some hints as to what to expect. Despite being a different experience altogether, the Live Action in a lot of ways was as rewarding as the anime version of Zom 100.

  • The primary thing you’ll notice is the setting and background. The creators are trying to keep things similar, from observation based on the trailer. The plane scene or the scene where Tendo realizes that he doesn’t need to work anymore are very similar in both Zom 100 Live Action and anime.

  • The way Eiji Akaso has enacted his character, Akira Tendou is very similar to the main character in the anime. It doesn’t feel cringe or unnatural.

Everything that has been said in this article is purely speculated from the trailer. The difference between the trailer and the actual thing can be vast. But hopefully, the Live Action will keep the spirit of the trailer alive; we’ll get to cross off the entire bucket list of the dead with Zom 100 anime and Live action.
