Ryan, who was already 30 years old at the time, thinks he is “too old” for the business. Furthermore, he has grown tired, and unhappy, and does not enjoy anymore what he has been making through the years. The pandemic also fueled his “mid-life crisis” and depression, plus he wasn’t able to work with his team during that time. The famous YouTuber also explained that even at the height of his success, he was mostly burnt out. This would later take a toll on his mental health and personal life. Very soon, it would be inevident that Ryan Higa would leave the Nigahiga channel altogether.

Well, Ryan Higa always wanted to make a change and venture into something different aside from making YouTube videos. That is where he found the love for streaming video games. Ryan is currently on Twitch with a gamer tag itsRyanHiga, enjoying the time of his life while playing his favorite games like Valorant, Overwatch, Apex Legends, and Fortnite. He, however, is still on YouTube, but it’s kind of different. He is now known for making gaming videos on his Higa TV YouTube channel.
