Cyberpunk 2077

Various members of the Cyberpunk 2077 modding community have been recently recruited by CD Projekt Red. These new recruits were made to work on a number of upcoming projects that are related to the game.

In an update that was shared on Reddit by modder Hambalkó Bence, also known as Traderain, it said that they would join hands and work with CD Projekt Red parallel to other fellow modders like Blumster, Nightmarea, and also rfuzzo. This team of excellent modders from Yigsoft is all set to come together with CDPR. Yigsoft is basically a development company that is run together by Traderain and Nightmarea.

In this update, Traderain elaborated about their assigned role at the CDPR.

“We will be working on various projects related to the Cyberpunk 2077 backend and the game’s modding support… We are really excited for this and we really hope we can help to bring Cyberpunk 2077 to the next level.”

  • With its inception and subsequent launch in 2020, Cyberpunk 2077 underwent numerous changes. It experienced a rather turbulent launch on consoles. These were brought on about by technical difficulties for PS4 and Xbox One versions. It conveyed apologies from CDPR right after the launch. For a very brief period, the game was removed from the PlayStation Store, and “refunds were issued across a number of platforms”.
  • Cyberpunk 2077 since then has changed drastically and CDPR said in June that they were finally “quite satisfied” after making a number of changes with the game’s performance as well as its stability. Still, patches for the game continued to come out and new features are being created by the modding community. This is will be quite worth the wait to see the impact of the new features from Yigsoft making its way into Cyberpunk 2077, over a few months’ time.
