God of War: Could The Success On Steam Entail More PC Crossover?

God of War PC Review

The year 2022 is shaping up to be a significant one in the history of video games for a variety of reasons. In the wake of the God of War series’ arrival on a platform other than PlayStation, some are already wondering if more games will come, given the huge success on Steam.

On January 14, 2018, God of War PC (2018) was made available on PC via Steam, Valve’s most popular platform. Even though it’s only been a few weeks, Sony has already decided to call the crossover a success. It’s fair to say that the first few days were good, with more than a million copies sold and a 97% favorable rating.

More PlayStation to PC Games To Come?

The most important thing to take away from Sony’s announcement is that games would be released across several platforms; not only the PS4/PS5 and the PC. A Microsoft-like strategy of making its software available to as many users as possible might explain the continued interest in various forms of entertainment.

Everything is possible. Sony, for instance, recently confirmed its goal to work on multiplatform, rather than making Destiny a PlayStation exclusive. According to reports, they also intend to establish themselves in the mobile market by creating and selling their own brand of mobile devices. This might lead to new games or perhaps a cloud gaming system, something that the PlayStation Remote Play function has already started.

In a nutshell, there are several alternatives, but they still need to be defined. We’ll learn more about Project Spartacus in the coming months, for example, when it competes with the Xbox Game Pass.:
