Early on in the game, you can farm money at a rate of 10,000 Gold per 10 minutes. You can do so by opening Eye Chests that have 500 Gold per Chest. To do this, you must cast the Disillusionment Charm (invisibility spell) on yourself out of sight of the Chest’s eye.
- You can unlock the Disillusionment Charm by completing the “Secrets of the Restricted Section” mission, after interacting with Sebastian Sallow in the Central Hall at night.
- There are more than twenty other Eye Chests around Hogwarts and Hogsmeade to farm more Gold. This entire process takes around 10 minutes, and you can use the Gold to get an edge in the game and buy whatever you want.
Other cheat-like features
In Hogwarts Legacy, there are side quests and challenges that simplify your efforts to play the game. You can start unlocking secret doors by learning the Alohomora spell which you will get after completing “The Caretaker’s Lunar Lament” quest.
You can also get any secret Legendary Item guaranteed in Hogwarts Legacy early on in the game. In order to do that, simply complete puzzles in the beginning hours of the game.
Is it legal?
Whether or not it is legal to use cheat codes in games largely depends on the specific game and its terms of service. In most cases, using cheat codes is not illegal, but it may violate the game’s terms of service.
Therefore, in Hogwarts Legacy’s case, it’s not possible to input any cheat codes into the game and it does not interfere with the legality of the game’s terms of service. The cheat-like tips and tricks mentioned above are safe to use as it bypasses the idea of cheating.

Using separate cheat engines and cheat tables in the back end of Hogwarts Legacy is completely illegal according to the game’s Terms of Use. The Cheat Table for the Cheat Engine allows you to run scripts that help you find addresses responsible for HP, Money and Time.
Cheat trainers like WeMod and FLiNG work by manipulating the game’s memory or code to modify various aspects of gameplay, such as player attributes, item inventory, or game mechanics.
However, using these cheats will result in getting you banned from Hogwarts Legacy’s online playing mode, rendering the game effectively useless.
