Las Vegas Family's Alien Encounter: Startling Meteor Sighting and Footage | Is It True

Investigation into a Las Vegas family’s 911 call claiming to have encountered aliens in their yard has revealed it was actually a meteor sighting. However, many unanswered questions remain regarding the events. Let’s take a look at a detailed account of events from the Las Vegas family about the supposed alien encounter, NASA’s meteor sighting response, and viral footage from the incident.

Exploring the Las Vegas family’s alien encounter

A Las Vegas metro police officer’s body cam captured a streak of light low across the sky on April 30, around midnight. People witnessed this flash first-hand across eastern California, Nevada, and Utah, according to the American Meteor Society.

Approximately 40 minutes after the meteor sighting, a young man made a 911 call in Las Vegas, describing an object falling from the sky and two moving entities in his family’s northwest valley backyard.

In response to the call, two officers set out to investigate the incident. In the body cam footage, one officer mentioned witnessing a shooting star before responding to the family’s claim of aliens in their yard.

The officers arrived at the scene 38 minutes after the 911 call and proceeded to interview the witnesses. They conducted a thorough search of the area and inspected the backyard for any signs of intruders.

Claims made by the Las Vegas family

During the investigation, officers discovered a circular pattern in the soil, which the main witness claims to have shown up when an unidentified object landed in the yard. However, the circular image has been visible on Google Earth for over a year.

The Las Vegas family described one of the moving entities as a being that was at least eight feet tall with glowing eyes. The situation became more interesting as the officer’s camera captured a glowing green orb falling from the sky that night.

Furthermore, there are allegations that suspicious vehicles around the family’s home monitoring their activity. Surveillance cameras have also been set up, but the Metro police clarified it was for the family’s benefit.

Some people claim that the Las Vegas family’s alien encounter claims are an attempt to divert attention from UFO whistleblower Dave Grusch.

NASA Clarification and Fact Check

Following the Las Vegas family’s 911 call, many videos began to circulate on the internet claiming to have captured alien encounters. NASA’s planetary defense officer, Lindley Johnson, offered an explanation for the green fireball from some of the legitimate videos.

According to Johnson, the sighting was a bright meteor measuring less than a meter in size. This ruled out the possibility of a UFO crash. He clarified that the object would have been high in the atmosphere and hundreds of miles away from Las Vegas at the time it was spotted.

Reuters conducted a fact check on a video showing an alien sighting in Las Vegas. The fact check revealed that the video was digitally manipulated and used audio from an unrelated news report about aliens.
