Could Call of Duty Modern Warfare Have Its Own Battle Royale?

The Blackout battle royale mode of Call of Duty Black Ops 4 had a great positive response with the public. Until now, it has not been clear whether the new Call of Duty Modern Warfare will have introduced this mode among its features. In these days, however, there have been some leaks, full of important details, which would confirm these possible rumors.

According to the Youtube channel TheGamingRevolution, Call of Duty Modern Warfare actually has a battle royale mode. And its map will be composed of original areas and multiplayer maps familiar to the players of the Modern Warfare series.

Apparently this will include the following maps:

  • Backlot
  • Boneyard
  • Broadcast
  • gulag
  • Rust
  • Scrapyard
  • shipment
  • Terminal
  • Wet Work

Some of these will also be available in the standard multiplayer mode and in the Gunfight 2v2 mode, with Shipment specifically identified as the Gunfight map by TheGamingRevolution.

The Youtuber indicated that the Call of Duty Modern Warfare battle royale could even be free-to-play. Furthermore, it would seem that the map is shared with the Spec Ops cooperative mode, which would act as an open-world hub of the battle royale mode. We underline, however, to take this information with due precautions since the source of TheGamingRevolution is not precise and yet, nothing official has been released.

It is possible that we will get confirmation of this mode during the disclosure of the multiplayer side of the game, set for August 1st. Possible but certainly not, since the event could just focus on the traditional multiplayer mode.
