An insider at Fortnite revealed that a new batch of skins will be introduced to Epic Games’ Battle Royale. This batch of skins will be based on James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad characters.
When Hypex took to Twitter and mentioned that King Shark as well as Weasel as portrayed in The Suicide Squad are paving their way into Fortnite, fans’ excitement hit the roof! Their post also mentions about “upcoming/scraped” skins list. However, there is no clarity about which status is applicable to individual entries. It is a huge possibility that King Shark and Weasel are introduced to join the game only to be later replaced by Bloodsport, who is a teammate that recently made his debut.
Moreover, Hypex has dropped a post on potential skins that fans can look forward to, “Jester (Male, Female & King?), Jurassic Archaeology (Male), Male counterpart of Komplex [and] a male Halloween skin from Save The World.” However, there is no notification of any release date whatsoever for any of the mentioned outfits.
Fortnite x King Shark
- While this inclusion did come as an exciting piece of news, fans are of the view that the inclusion of King Shark was a popular and predictable choice but Weasel joining the game came as quite a surprise.
- Fortnite’s history with collaborations with DC Comics and the addition of two more popular characters does make sense. And Hypex did reveal that several new sprays will be added to Fortnite. These sprays’ theme revolves around The Suicide Squad movie that features King Shark, Peacemaker, Harley Quinn, and Polka-Dot Man.
- Sadly, there is no information available on the release dates for the skins yet. We can, however, predict that quite an extensive crossover event will take place with possibly more characters from The Suicide Squad making their entrance into Fortnite over the next couple of months.
