WWE WrestleMania 39: Major Predictions, Where to Watch + Schedule in your Region

The last time we witnessed the golden era of WWE may have been back in 2011 when Dwayne The Rock Johnson challenged John Cena for a match of a lifetime. Now, investing in such a legacy which is followed by many of similar stature as the mentioned two a certain inkling arises. One, that is of questioning – that is, more than a decade later, can WWE WrestleMania 39 live up to the glory left behind in the eras of the past? Here are our predictions along with where to watch the guide.

On the setup of this year’s Showcase of the Immortals

  • WrestleMania 39 may appear to have a more predictable set of match outcomes on paper than in previous years, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it will be disappointing for professional wrestling fans.
  • Now, Triple H will be responsible for assembling the card for this year’s WrestleMania. And the main roster for WWE’s most awaited Pay Per View event is its final event – which will feature a frantic Cody Rhodes against The ex-shield leader Roman Reigns.

Rhodes has become synonymous with pyrotechnics and fireworks, which are integral parts of his arena entrance, delighting WWE fans. As he prepares to take on the toughest opponent of his wrestling career at The Showcase of the Immortals, fans are eagerly anticipating a grand and unforgettable entrance for The American Nightmare.

Other than this, the road to WWE’s biggest event of the year has been intense, featuring key personalities such as The Bloodline, Kevin Owens, and Sami Zayn.

While a surprising twist can be entertaining, this annual event often marks the end of the WWE “season” before the Raw after WrestleMania launches new angles or ongoing storylines for the following year.

  • Over the course of two nights, the event will feature a comprehensive lineup of carefully crafted feuds and storylines that are designed to deliver the anticipated payoffs, leaving little doubt that both nights will meet the high expectations of fans.

WWE Wrestlemania 39 predictions

The Main Event, Cody Rhodes vs Roman Reigns

The Main Event has ample space to see WWE taking a different turn regarding the face of the company. While the absence of John Cena (as the face) no longer seems to be an aberrant obstacle for the Company, the presence of Roman Reigns has indeed helped retain some of its glory.

But one may easily feel that the company at this point is now just ‘milking’ Roman to a point where Cody taking the undisputed world champion title may be a very demandingly necessary change.

So for once in a very long time, I would like to believe that WWE might just see Cody winning the undisputed title this time.

On John Cena vs Austin Theory

  • Coming back to John Cena, one must first acknowledge his timely detour of Hollywood even prior to WrestleMania 39.
  • Having starred in DC’s Peacemaker and Transformer’s Bumblebee, I remember the leader of Cenation once mocking The Rock for drifting into the ocean of the Film industry.

Yet in the tidal winds, it seems Cena has committed the very sin which he once seemed to have despised. Yet his return has not been able to top Roman’s undisputed title, being matched against Austin Theory, a relatively new face (or heel?).

John Cena has returned way many times and lost way many times for us to predict otherwise. But seeing how his wrestling career is approaching a befitting end, we might seeing him win more than we have seen him lose.

Short predictions of the rest of the major lineups

  • The rest of the roster is also full of very prominent face. Brock Lesner going against someone of his size is still a very satisfying experience. Although logically thinking, Lesnar’s chances of winning against Omos seem enchantingly high.

  • Edge taking the edge over Finn Balor should is a promising outcome. Although it isn’t tellable if Balor is to lose.

  • Perhaps the most interesting match will still be Seth Rollins vs Logan Paul. A match up that feels worthy of being the golden goose.
    • Logan has been nothing less than phenomenal ever since he displayed his wrestling prowess, which is nothing short of professional. Rollins is more or less a seasoned warrior. This is one match where I can’t possibly seem to recall a predictable outcome.

Leading up to WWE WrestleMania 39: Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber results

Following the Lockdown WWE and Thunderdome eras, there were significant changes behind the scenes of professional wrestling.

Vince McMahon exited the scene, while Triple H ascended to greater prominence. AEW’s growth was impressive, but it also experienced some turbulence, and then McMahon’s unexpected return to his desk caught many off guard.

However, despite these concerns, the wrestling matches themselves continued to entertain fans. The Royal Rumble 2023 was an unforgettable pay-per-view event that set the stage for WrestleMania in grand fashion. Additionally, Asuka emerged as the challenger for Bianca Belair’s Raw championship title after coming out on top in the Elimination Chamber.
