Valorant has recently seen the release of Episode 3 Act 1, which marked the entry of Agent KAY/O. But fans might have to wait for a bit to see the next in-game Agent as Riot Games, the developer of Valorant, has planned to postpone the release of Episode 3 Act 2 till the 9th of September, 2021. But lucky for us, there have been leaks on social media that reveal the next upcoming Agent 17, codenamed Deadeye.
Leakers Floxay and ValorMike revealed that a new Agent string had been added to the game in June, codename: Deadeye. This has been part of the teaser during the Valorant’s One Year Anthem; where a brief glitch in a video showed a glimpse of a well-dressed character holding a rifle.

Deadeye is just the codename in the code; it might be different once Agent 17 is out.
From the codename Deadeye, we can expect that the character’s style will be all about aiming. Speculations from some teasers by Valorant developers themselves that Deadeye could be a duelist. However, if this is so, Agent 17 will be the sixth duelist in Valorant, and that seems unlikely.
- There is also a reward for Sova’s agent contract “Deadeye”. You can get this after completing tier 8 of his contract. Agent 17 might be related in some way to him.
- Even though each Act brings in a new Agent with them, there has not been much happening in terms of content since the last Act, when KAY/O was introduced. Players will be waiting for the release of the next Agent and some new content along with it. Agent 17 might make an entrance shortly after the launch of Episode 3 Act 2.
