Will Kyedae and Tupperware play in VCT 23 Game Changers What we know so far - Featured

The VCT 23 Game Changers are set to take place soon and ahead of it, the Valorant community has been buzzing about the possible participants. During their most recent livestreams, both Kyedae and Tupperware, among other female Valorant streamers, have teased a possibility of them playing in the VCT 23 Game Changers. But will this actually happen? Here’s what we know so far, so keep reading!

Kyedae and Tupperware streamed a coaching and scrim session with other female Valorant streamers

Scrims and coaching sessions for FPS games like Valorant aren’t usually livestreamed for many to see. However, the case was different for Kyedae, Tupperware, and other streamers like QuarterJade, Sydeon, and TrulyTenzin. At first, there was nothing too special about the stream other than Kyedae and the others practicing and showing off their skills in Valorant.

  • Aside from the streamers we already mentioned, they were also joined by Corey “ruin” Hartog. If you have been following the esports scene in Valorant, then this name might be familiar as Hartog is a former coach for Complexity Gaming.
  • At the start of the stream, Hartog discussed the basics with the female streamers. Aside from plays they would execute, they also talked about all the things they need to consider when the enemy team pushes them.

  • Kyedae, Tupperware, QuarterJade, Sydeon, and TrulyTenzin then had to decide who would be the in-game leader. Given her experience in the Valorant esports scene, Tupperware took on the role as their IGL. Although Kyedae and the others had an impressive Valorant track record, Tupperware had the most experience among them.

The all-female team matched up against TenZ and other seasoned Valorant players

To test out everything they learned from Ruin (Hartog), they started a scrim with Tupperware at the helm. One of their notable opponents was TenZ, one of the star players for pro team Sentinels. He also happens to be Kyedae’s fiance, but the two didn’t let their personal relationship get in the way of their games.

  • Joining TenZ are his and Kyedae’s friends from high school. Normally, Valorant streamers wouldn’t broadcast scrims. This is to avoid other teams studying the strategy of players like TenZ. However, all participants had no issue with their scrims and coaching sessions being livestreamed.
  • Kyedae, Tupperware, TrulyTenzin, and QuarterJade have all reached Immortal in Valorant. The only exception is Sydeon, who is ranked a bit lower than the other girls. Nonetheless, she doesn’t fall too far behind during the match up.

  • Unfortunately, TenZ and his team were too much for Tupperware and her team to handle. The all-female team lost, but it wasn’t in vain as they were able to test out their skills against someone like TenZ. The scores were also close, so it definitely means the all-female team are starting to apply what they learned from the coaching session.

  • This led viewers to speculate that Kyedae and the others will play in the VCT 23 Game Changers in North America.

Will we see Kyedae, Tupperware, and other female streamers play in the VCT 23 Game Changers?

While streaming, Kyedae kept dropping hints about her playing with the others at this year’s VCT Game Changers. At one point in the stream, XSET ashley asked a question that piqued Kyedae’s interest: “are they playing in game changers?”, XSET ashley wrote.

When Kyedae saw this, there was an obvious change in her demeanor. To answer the question, she began by saying that she “can’t confirm”. She followed this up with an “I know you’re not stupid!” directed at XSET ashley.

  • From the looks of it, there is a possibility that Kyedae, Tupperware, and the others are playing in the VCT 23 Game Changers.
  • TrulyTenzin, better known as Tenzin, also kept the conversations going when she tweeted after the livestream. In her tweet, the tone is obviously screaming sarcasm with the amount of punctuation marks she used.

  • It also doesn’t help that she ended her tweet asking her followers why she would lie “on the internet”.

With all that being said, there is a high chance that Kyedae teams up with Tupperware and the other girls for the VCT 23 Game Changers in North America. This will be a first and it’s sure to bring more attention to the Game Changers scene.

How will this affect the competitive scene of the VCT Game Changers?

As we mentioned, this is going to be a first for the VCT Game Changers scene. Save for Tupperware who last played for Immortals, the other four streamers have no experience in a tournament setting.

  • If they do decide to join the VCT Game Changers North America Series, it will be a dream come true. Who knows? Maybe this opens doors for other content creators to start taking Valorant seriously and participating in professional tournaments.

  • A lot of players look up to female streamers like Kyedae. If she decides to get involved in the VCT 23 Game Changers, it could inspire other female and marginalized players to participate in competitive play. It will also help break down barriers that limit female and marginalized players in the esports industry.

From the looks of it, the Valorant community is excited to see these content creators band together. Fingers crossed that Kyedae, Tupperware, and the others actually take part in the VCT 23 Game Changers.

The VCT Game Changers North America Series One begins on April 7. By then, we will find out whether Kyedae and the others are part of the roster. As for the international event, it will begin on November 28 this year in Brazil.
